Taskabi is responsible for processing the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy question or request relating to your data, contact support@taskabi.com.
2. Data we process
Account and profile data
Email address, name, password protected by hashing, avatar color, and, if you choose to provide them, a profile picture or other optional profile fields.
Content and activity in the app
Groups, members, tasks, descriptions, assignments, difficulty, estimated time, points, rewards, completions, and preferences such as language.
Technical data
Session identifiers, authentication tokens, and the minimum technical information needed to maintain security, diagnose errors, and operate the service. We do not use this data for personalized advertising.
Support communications
The content of emails and the information you give us when you ask for help.
3. How we obtain data
- Directly from you when you create an account, edit your profile, or contact support.
- Through your activity when you create, assign, or complete tasks.
- From other members when they invite you to a group or interact with shared tasks.
- Automatically, to the extent needed to authenticate and protect connections.
4. How we use data
- Create and manage your account.
- Provide group, task, assignment, point, and reward features.
- Show group members the information needed to collaborate.
- Send essential messages, such as account verification or recovery.
- Answer questions and provide support.
- Prevent abuse, protect accounts, and maintain the service.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
Depending on the situation, this processing is based on providing the service you request, your consent, our legitimate interest in protecting and improving Taskabi, or a legal obligation.
5. Visibility within groups
Taskabi is a collaborative tool. Members of the same group can see names, avatars, group points, assignments, and task-related activity. Do not put sensitive information in titles or descriptions if you do not want other members to see it.
6. Service providers and sharing data
We do not sell your data or share it with advertising networks. We may use infrastructure, hosting, storage, and email providers that process data only to provide these services to us and under confidentiality and data protection obligations.
We may also disclose information when necessary to comply with the law, protect rights and safety, or respond to a valid order from a competent authority.
If a provider processes data outside your country, we will apply the safeguards required for international transfers.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep data while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the service. After you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize the associated data, except for information we must temporarily retain for legal obligations, security, or dispute resolution.
You can delete your account from Settings → Delete account. If you cannot access it, email support@taskabi.com from the address linked to the account.
8. Your choices and rights
You can update data from your profile, withdraw optional consent, and request access, correction, portability, restriction, objection, or deletion where those rights apply.
To exercise these rights, email support@taskabi.com. We may ask for reasonable information to verify that you are the account holder. You can also make a complaint to the relevant data protection authority.
9. Security
We apply technical and organizational measures to protect data, including password hashing, token-based authentication, and access controls. No system is infallible; if you notice an incident, contact support as soon as possible.
10. Children
Where applicable law requires permission from a parent or guardian, children may only use Taskabi with that permission and supervision. People responsible for a group should avoid entering unnecessary personal data about children.
11. This website
The current version of this informational website does not include advertising or tracking cookies. The infrastructure may process essential technical data to serve the pages securely.
12. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when our data practices or applicable regulations change. We will publish the current version at this same address and show its update date.
