Delete your Taskabi account

You can delete your account in the app or send us a request if you can no longer access it.

Delete your account in the app

This is the fastest option. Deletion begins when you confirm the action.

  1. Open Taskabi and sign in to the account you want to delete.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Scroll down to Delete account.
  4. Tap Delete account and review the warning.
  5. Confirm deletion. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

Can’t access the app?

Send a request from the email address linked to your account. State that you want to delete your Taskabi account and associated data.

If you write from another address, we will ask for reasonable information to verify that the account is yours. Never send your password.

Data that is deleted

When the account is deleted, we delete or disassociate personal data and activity that identify it.

  • Account and profile: email address, name, hashed password, avatar, and optional profile data.
  • Credentials and security: sessions, access tokens, and connections to sign-in providers.
  • Preferences: language, theme, and other personal settings.
  • Participation: group memberships, points, assignments, and completed task history.
  • Content linked to the account: created tasks, notes, invitations, comments, votes, and discussions.

Data that may be retained

Deleting the account does not remove shared information that does not identify the account and that other members still need.

  • Shared groups and content without personal attribution, such as shopping list items or catalog definitions, may remain available to other members.
  • We may retain the minimum information required to meet legal obligations, protect security, or resolve disputes.
  • Emails sent to support may be retained while needed to process the request and meet applicable obligations.

Additional retention period

We do not keep an active copy of the account after deletion is complete, and we do not apply a general additional retention period to account data.

When the law requires us to retain minimal information, we keep it only for the applicable legal period. We then delete or anonymize it.

What happens next

For email requests, we will first verify that you are the account holder. Once deletion is complete, you can no longer sign in or recover the account or deleted data.
